Evelyn Hill Inc. is the official food and retail concessionaire for the Crown Cafe on Liberty Island and several other National Park service monuments. Having a long heritage of innovation, they pride themselves on introducing new technologies to better serve the thousands of visitors who come to their establishments. With rapid advancements in technology, food vendors have to provide the kind of modern service customers expect, which is why Evelyn Hill sought to implement the latest digital signage when renovating the Crown Cafe.

What did White Lodging need to accomplish to deliver top-notch in-room entertainment for hotel guests?
Hotel guests now demand in-room entertainment that delivers the advanced functionality and interactivity of their home TVs. To provide a contemporary customer experience, Evelyn Hill installed 10 Samsung MDC displays as sleek dynamic menu boards above the service counter in the Crown Cafe. Three 40” displays were placed at the entrance and several 22” displays were installed in portrait format on pillars along the queue line delivering promotions and infotainment to keep customers engaged. All displays featured embedded media player and MagicInfo® software for easy content management without any external hardware.

Samsung displays, serving as digital menu boards in the Crown Cafe, successfully provided a dynamic, customer-friendly ordering experience for over 600 guests an hour. Moreover, queue displays delivered infotainment reducing perceived wait times. The embedded media player and MagicInfo® solution allowed employees to manage dynamic content quickly and easily. Display content is to be further expanded into food and nutrition facts and employee messaging.
