The world’s largest LED baseball scoreboard is at the SK Wyverns Munhak Baseball Stadium in Incheon Korea, and it was built by Samsung. Consisted of 16,320 LED modules in 96 cabinets, this 64 meter-wide, 18 meter-tall scoreboard took about 3 months to set up. See video here:

Once set up, you don’t want to take it down every time it rains (or snows). Using the technologies that helped Samsung excel in the smart signage market; this outdoor display is IP67 water- and dust- resistant and it can also withstand extreme temperatures from -40℃ to 55℃. So, even when the game goes into rain delay, the screen can still play.

This SMART LED Signage solution is not just about the screen technology. For this project, Samsung provided the total solution, including the display, installation structure, operation systems, and quality assurance and maintenance services. For example, the information system – not only does this scoreboard show the score, lineup, stats, instant replays, it can also show messages from the fans and even have them play games on the scoreboard between innings; via the SK Wyverns Play With app.

Samsung hopes that our SMART LED signage will help fans better enjoy the action in the ballpark. Play ball!
