According to IDC(International Data Corp), Samsung secured the top position once again in 2Q18, a feat it has attained for the past 22 quarters, while enjoying a global market share of 33.9% on shipments of nearly 300,000 digital signage units. The recent results of the company for that quarter represent a 10% increase over its first quarter in 2018. Looking ahead, IDC forecasts the remarkable trend to continue with an expected 11.9% in worldwide shipments in the second quarter of 2019, with Samsung likely to be the dominant performer again thanks to its explosive growth in Latin America.
