Singapore – September 19, 2018 – Samsung Electronics Singapore has successfully transformed the SKIS (Singapore Korean International School) into a modern and digital institute by deploying Samsung Flip throughout the entire school.
Samsung’s interactive digital flip charts have been added to classrooms, library, labs, and other facilities within SKIS, changing the design of the facilities as well as the way teachers and students communicate during and after curricular activities.
"We are pleased to introduce the Samsung Flip that provides collaborative solutions for teachers and students at SKIS. We look forward to further innovating the educational industry in Singapore with our leading technology and solutions,” said Mr. Lee Jui Siang, President of Samsung Electronics Singapore.
The Flip is optimized for a smart, fully-engaged, real-time education. Teachers can simply begin their class by sharing content from a mobile phone, laptop or tablet on the 55-inch digital screen. Up to four different participants are able to create content or annotate directly on the screen at the same time.
Content presented on the Flip is clear and crisp thanks to the viewer-friendly UHD resolution, allowing students to easily remain engaged during class. In addition, teachers are given the flexibility to transform any location into a classroom setting with the Flip’s portable, wheel-based stand. Once class is over, teachers are able to easily send notes to the students, themselves or the parents via e-mail or a cloud-based share drive.
Each Flip display is customizable and can configure to portrait or landscape orientations to suit the needs of each unique class. Coupled with its height-adjustable stand, the Flip also maximizes available writing space at users’ preferred positions.
“SKIS has been adopting the latest digital technology to modernize our educational environment and the Samsung Flip is one of our endeavors to provide a state-of-the-art facility,” stated Mr. Seoung-oh Kim, the principal of SKIS. “The Flip is revitalizing the school where collaboration and cooperation are essential for more productive classes.”
SKIS, established in 1993, is an academic school that ranges from kindergarten to high school and offers the best curriculum for over 450 Korean and international students in Singapore. SKIS is considered to be the first school in the world to have a full range of digital display solutions in the classroom as well as instilling the best practice in schools.
