Samsung Electronics H.K. Co. Ltd. showcased its 3D Onyx Cinema LED screen for the first time in Hong Kong at CineAsia 2018. Following the launch of Onyx Cinema LED screen earlier, Samsung has once again brought a ground-breaking innovation to the industry. At CineAsia 2018, Samsung 3D Onyx Cinema LED screen showcased how it bring truly immersive viewing experience to audience through screening of several latest 3D movie trailers.

Equipped with High Dynamic Range technology (HDR), Samsung 3D Onyx Cinema LED screen delivers perfect color accuracy (DCI-P3 color gamut) that restores the true and full vibrant of colors and true black color for the picture quality. With an infinite contrast ratio, the 3D Onyx Cinema LED screen makes 3D movie content more realistic through enhanced brightness and consistent color amplification, minimized the issues of picture distortion. Even viewers wear 3D glasses can watch subtitle texts, images and even minor visual details with unprecedented clarity, sans the dark, blurry shadowing and potential dizziness that can occur in traditional 3D movie theatres.

As the digital cinema server partner of Onyx Cinema LED screen, GDC joined hands with Samsung to set a new industry standard for large-size movie screen picture quality.
